Secondary symptoms - Grub makes zigzag tunnels in pulp; eats unripe tissue and bores into cotyledons. Fruit dropping at marble stage and oviposition injuries on marble sized fruits are also observed. Tunnelled cotyledons are found in mature fruit by grubs.
