Secondary symptoms - Bursting of smooth yellow colored membrane in later stage is observed. Few grains in a panicle are infected by conversion of grains into mass velvety or yellow fruiting bodied. The infection usually occurs during the reproductive and ripening stages.Solution - Use Carbendazim and Copper based fungicide as seed treatment or spray in later stages.
