These kinds of insects are known as “Glow worms (lightening bugs)” and present about 200 species on the earth. One of the glands present on its body produces a substance ‘luciferin’ which produce red or yellow or green light. This miraculous trick produces light which helpful those to locate food for feed and gets protection against their natural enemies. In the darkness of the night, the scene is like a tiny light bulb flying in darkens. Activity is more visible in bushy places where it is dark. Don't miss a spectacular sight.
