Yellow vein mosaic (YVM) in okra:
This viral disease is transmitted by whitefly. The incidence of this disease seems to be increasing as on progress of the pickings. Affected plants turn yellow and pods look less. The pods on affected plants also turn yellowish, which is not marketable. Uproot and destroy the affected plants regularly. For the control of vector whitefly, spray spiromesifen 240 SC @ 8 ml or imidacloprid 70 WG @ 0.8 g or diafenthiuron 50 WP @ 10 g or tolfenpyrad 15 EC 2 20 ml per 10 lit of water.
