Union minister claims, MSP payment of 1.13 lakh crore to farmers!
New Delhi. The Central Government has increased the minimum support price (MSP) to farmers during the Rabi Season 2020, giving a total of Rs 1.13 lakh crore. This is 31 percent more than last year's MSP payment.
Increased MSP procurement up to 75 times
Kailash Chaudhary stressed that the procurement of crops at the minimum support price will continue as before. Chaudhary said that the MSP payment to farmers for pulses crops has increased 75 times in the last six years compared to the year 2009-14. In the last 5 years, Rs 49000 crore MSP has been paid against Rs 645 crore. Similarly, the MSP payment for oilseeds farmers has increased 10 times in the last five years compared to the year 2009-14. Similarly, the MSP payment for oilseeds farmers has increased 10 times in the last five years compared to the year 2009-14. In the last 5 years, Rs 25000 crore MSP was paid against Rs 2460 crore.
Agricultural bill will bring prosperity in the lives of farmers
Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary said that the Modi government has taken several steps in the interest of farmers in the country, but despite all these, due to the change in the law, the progress we were thinking about the farmer was possible. Therefore, the Government of India has passed two bills from the Parliament.
These include the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Simplification) Bill, 2020 and the second Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreements Bill on Agricultural Services, 2020, which will definitely benefit the farmers of the country.
