Two important bills for agricultural reform in the country have been passed by the Lok Sabha. These are "Farmer Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Simplification) Bill, 2020" and "Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreement on Agricultural Services Bill, 2020". About these Bills, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that through these farmers will now get freedom from legal restrictions, while they have clarified that the minimum support price (MSP) The mandis operating under the States Act will also be retained and will continue to operate as per the State Governments.
