These Areas to Witness Heavy Rainfall
Pune: Southwest monsoon flow is presently weak. In this situation, owing to the low-pressure area produced in the Arabian Sea, monsoon will advance quickly and reach Konkan and the southern parts of central Maharashtra until June 13.
The variation of a day is possible for the arrival of the monsoon in the state. However, monsoon's arrival is anticipated to be in the districts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, and North Maharashtra, according to Anupam Kashyap, Pune-IMD.
Due to the current low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea, there will be rains accompanied by heavy winds in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Konkan, and Goa; they are advised to remain alert. Tomorrow, 11 June, there will be a possibility of heavy rains on the coast in Konkan with winds at 45 kilometres per hour. Light winds are expected in the rest of the state, while there is a possibility of a heat wave in Vidarbha.
