The government will soon connect all villages of the country with Wi-Fi
New Delhi: The Modi government is going to provide Wi-Fi facilities in all the villages of the country very soon. Internet speed in GramNet will be between 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Minister of State for Communications in the Modi government, said this at an event organized on the 36th foundation day of C-Dot, a government company that develops electronics communication equipment.
He said that BharatNet is providing a Gbps connectivity that can be extended up to 10 Gbps. Today XGSPON, released on C-DOT, will go a long way in achieving this goal.
He said that on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, it will be a true tribute to the nation of Bapu. Bapu's dream was that villages in India should become self-sufficient. The Minister of State for Communications said that C-DOT's C-SETI technology will benefit people, especially those living in villages and remote areas. Through this, they will get a telephone and Wi-Fi facility easily. With this technology, this facility will be available on all mobile phones across the country.
