Do not make heap of potato in field itself. To do so, potato tuber moth lays eggs on them. Such potato in storage, emerging larvae bore the tubers and enters into the potato tubers and feed inside. Later on, tubers are rotten up due to entry of the fungus. And hence, do not keep tubers in field and carry them at home or storage or send for sale.
