Sugar export season started
Kolhapur - This year is the first season of sugar exports before the new sugar season starts in the country. Under this season, the central government has targeted to export 60 lakh metric tonnes of sugar before the sugar factory in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid Rs 6,268 crore on 28 August. As a part of the sugar export subsidy package, India is expected to export 60 lakh metric tons of sugar from the factory and the subsidy scheme will start from 1 October. Relations with the sugar industry in India have already been negotiated with importers from East Asia, China, East Africa, Bangladesh, Iran and Sri Lanka. Their sugar can be shipped in early October. Indonesia has also agreed to trade sugar with India.
