Adults as well as nympha stage suck the juice from the fruits. It make sevaral puncture on the fruits and as a result, fruit becomes deshaped. These bugs are found in different colours. For the last 4-5 years, the incidence of this bug has been increasing in vegetable crops like brinjal, tomato, chillil etc. If the infestation seems to be excessive, it may required spraying of systemic recommended insecticides.
