Scientific cultivation of Watermelon and Muskmelon
Soil - Sandy loam soil with proper drainage is best. The pH of the land should be 6 - 7.
Fertilizer - Pre-sowing - Apply good rotten cow dung to 250-300 quintal per hectare field.
Seed treatment - Treat thiram at the rate of 2-3 grams per kg of seed. For good germination of seeds, soak the seeds in water for 24-36 hours.
Sowing time - mid-February is the best time._x000D_
Sowing Method - 2m Sow the seeds at a distance of 1 -1 .5 m on their sides by making a ridge wide and raised from the ground._x000D_
Weed control - Weeding 2 times when plants are small. Spray Alachlor 50 EC 200 liters of active ingredients per hectare before cultivation of watermelon and melon, after sowing or before seed germination._x000D_
