Satellite Estimate of Crop Failure to Help Get Crop Insurance Claim
Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary said that farmers whose crops were damaged by climate or natural disasters will be assessed by satellite. This will enable farmers to benefit from the crop insurance scheme and also maintain transparency in crop compensation.
If farmers measure crop losses using this process, there would be no complications. Farmers will be able get timely payments by this strategy. This approach will be built within the context of the pilot project. It is stated that it has commenced in approximately 96 districts in 10 states of the country.
