Rs. 2,790 Crore Permitted for Development of Ethanol Production Capacity
New Delhi: Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has sanctioned a fund of Rs. 2,790 crores under the special finance scheme for sugar factories to increase ethanol production capacity. Under this scheme, the interest subsidy of Rs 12,900 crores is being provided to the sugar factories by the banks.
Benefits Interest Subsidy Scheme:
• Improvement of the revenue production of ethanol supplies through ethanol-mixed petrol programs, to improve the currency of sugar factories.
• To reduce the sugar list, and make easy payment of sugarcane farmers.
• To achieve 10% ethanol mixed with petrol
