New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund facility of Rs 1 lakh crore on Sunday. On this occasion, 2000 rupees of the sixth installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme will also be transferred to the farmers' account. A total of 8.5 crore farmers of the country will get Rs 17,000 crore. Let us tell you that under this scheme so far, help has been sent to the bank account of 10 crore, 31 lakh, 71 thousand farmers of the country. Direct assistance of about 75,000 crores has been given, so that small farmers will get benefited. The scheme started informally on 1 December 2018. This scheme emerged as a big support for farmers during the covid-19 pandemic. Agriculture Infrastructure Fund - In the meeting of the Union Cabinet, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund worth Rs 1 lakh crore has been approved. This scheme is a medium and long-term loan for investment in projects for infrastructure management and community agricultural assets after harvesting through interest grants and financial support. Will facilitate funds of one lakh crore rupees will be financially supported by Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PAC), farmer groups, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), agricultural entrepreneurs, startups and agricultural technology entrepreneurs. The fund will set up cold store chains, warehousing, sorting and packing units, e-marketing centers. Under this, providing agricultural collection centers and maintenance facilities through private-public partnership (PPP) with the help of central and state governments also includes. The loan will be disbursed in 4 years. 10,000 crore in the current financial year and Rs 30,000 crore in the next three financial years. Under this financing facility, a rebate of 3 percent will be given on interest of loans up to Rs 2 crore every year in all types of loans. This rebate will be for a maximum period of 7 years. Apart from this, credit guarantee coverage will also be available through this financing facility under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) scheme for loans up to Rs 2 crore.
