Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) is an old age pension scheme for all land holding Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) in the country. It is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for the entry age group of 18 to 40 years. Around 20,19,220 farmers have already been associated with this scheme so far, who will get Monthly pension of Rs 3000 after completion of 60 years of Age. The benefits of the scheme can be availed by all 12 Cr small and marginal farmers who have 2 hectare of cultivable land. This scheme was first started from Jharkhand and inaugurated by prime Minister Narendra Modi on 12 Sept 2019. There is no fee associated with the registration. If any farmer is availing benefits of PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI scheme, he will not be asked for any documents. These farmers can directly pay instalments from the benefits of PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI scheme. If any farmer wants to leave this scheme, his previously deposited money will be secured and he will be getting the same interest on the deposited amount as he avails on his savings account. On the death of the farmer his wife will be getting an amount of Rs 1500/Month. Salient features of the scheme_ (1) Age- 18 to 40 years (2) Any tax payer, EPF and ESIC member can not avail the benefits. (3) Aadhar card, Mobile No and bank account are mandatory. (4) Premium will be ranging from Rs 55 to rs 200. Gov will pay the same amount. (5) After 60 years of Age Monthly pension amount will be Rs 1500.
