The incidence is observed just after germination of the crop. When population is cross 2 larvae per sq. feet, spray neem based formulation @ 20 (1% EC) to 40 (0.15% EC) per 10 lit of water. With this spray, if pest is not controlled, spray quinalphos 25 EC @ 20 ml or imidacloprid 70 WG @ 3 g per 10 lit of water.
