In modern cultivation of chilli, a plastic mulching sheet of silver black color of 25 to 30 micron thickness is used along with the drip method for irrigation. Due to this, weed management as well as the amount of irrigation water is reduced and the infestation of succulents in tomato is reduced, the mulching technique increases the yield by 40 to 50%.
