Modi government has taken steps to benefit women farmers by doubling their income
New Delhi: Women make major contributions in the country's agriculture, but it is often not visible whenever we talk of farming. People often refer to 'farmer brothers', and ever about 'farmer sisters'. The Modi Government has taken several initiatives for women through the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare. These initiatives aim to bring women into the mainstream of agriculture. So that farmers can be enabled to contribute to doubling their income.
Steps taken for women farmers
1) Fixation of 30% fund for women under various major benefit schemes of the department.
2) Training is being provided to women farmers under various schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
