Neem seeds are useful as an insecticide. As they contain a component, Azadirachtin, it controls insects, nematodes,fungus .This is a contact insecticide. Method to prepare 10% neem extract १) Take 10 kg neem seeds and 100 gm of washing soda. २) Make powder of dried neem seeds and tie it in a cloth. ३) Soak neem powder contained in a cloth in 10 liters of water for 10 to 12 hours. ४) Take out the soaked neem powder and press it for 10 to 15 minutes and take out neem extract from it through cloth. ५) Take out neem extract and mix it with 90 to 100 liters of water and spray it as an insecticide.
