Spotted bollworms cause damage to okra shoots and pods while Helicoverpa larvae mostly infest the pods. The hole made by caterpillar is somewhat larger and cleaner than Helicoverpa while hole of this is somewhat small and is filled with excreta, then the damage caused due to spotted bollworm. According to the intensity of damage, spray chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 3 ml or pyridalyl 10 EC @ 10 ml per 10 litres of water.
