At the onset of disease, purple black spots are appeared on top leaves and branches of the stem. Under such dots, white fungus is seen growing. Crop appears like a burnt under the higher severity of disease. Settings on tubers are also affected due to this disease. On initiation, spray azoxystrobin 23 SC @ 10 ml or mancozeb 75 WP @ 20 g or metiram 70 WG @ 20 g or metalaxyl M 4% + mancozeb 64% WP @ 20 g per 10 lit of water.
