This is a viral disease transmitted by sucking insect pests such as aphids. It is likely to increase if tobacco, tomatoes, cucurbits like vegetable crops are grown in the vicinity of the brinjal crop. The growth of crops is affected and the leaves are distorted. Remove infected plants and control the vector (aphids) periodically.
