Emerging larva enter into fruit by making a hole on fruits and feed the developing seed inside. Infested fruits are rotting up and emits bad odour due to the entry of bacteria and fungus from the hole made by this larva. Deteriorate the quality of fruits and hindered the production. The damage is more prevalent during monsoon and later on period. Collect & destroy the fallen fruits periodically and protect the small fruits with cone-shaped cap or paper bag. On need, spray Bacillus thuringiensis, a bacterial base powder @ 15 g per 10 lit of water.
