This insect is known as “foul bug” because of its special bad odour. Nymphs and adults suck the sap from milky grains. As a result, such seeds remain soft. On higher infestation, only empty husks on paddy are seen. Infestation is generally higher in shady areas. On initiation, spray imidacloprid 6% + lambda cyhelothrin 4% SL @ @ 10 ml per 10 lit of water.
