This pest does not cause any direct damage but acts as carrier of the little leaf disease. Plants affected by this disease do not regenerate and do not flower or bear fruit. The best solution for control of this disease, remove and destroy the affected plants without waiting. Control the jassids, vector of this disease with the application of imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 4 ml or beta-cyfluthrin 8.49 + imidacloprid 19.81% OD @ 4 ml per 10 lit of water.
