Know about the pod bug damaging to pigeon pea:
Brown or green coloured bugs in their nymphal and adult stage suck the sap from the developing seeds by inserting their mouth parts through the pod. As a result, seeds are shrivelled. Undeveloped seeds are observed in the pods and become unfit for the consumption.
