It will be mandatory for fertilizer companies to produce 10% organic manure.
New Delhi. Government can make it mandatory for fertilizer companies to produce at least 10% organic manure with chemical fertilizers. National Kamdhenu Commission can soon recommend to the government that companies like KRIBHCO and IFFCO should produce organic fertilizers from 10% dung and cow urine in their annual production.
The commission presumes that organic farming will be encouraged because of the production of organic manure and there will be less dependency on chemical fertilizers imported from outside. This will also save foreign currency. Also proper use of cow dung and cow urine will be possible.
According to the National Kamdhenu Commission, this will create a good and positive impact on the economy. Dairy farm can also earn income from milk products as well as sale of cow dung and cow urine. This proposal can be brought forward through the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, after the formation of a new government. The Commission believes that this step can reduce the cultivation cost and organic farming can also be encouraged.
