Insurance companies for Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme
Agriculture in our country is completely based on weather. The crop is good when the weather is favorable and rains are in equal proportion. In the same way, there is drought due to less rainfall and crops are also damaged even if there is excess rain. On this basis, we can say that there is always a risk in agriculture. The government wants to protect the farmers from risk and also benefit them. But the government does not want to spend more money from the government treasury for this. This is the situation where the role of government and non-government agricultural crop insurance companies increases. The insurance companies compensate the government's failures to provide complete financial assistance to the farmers. Therefore, the government also has to accept some unwanted conditions of agricultural insurance companies. Disputes also arise when it comes to settling a large number of crop insurance claims. Insurance companies also question the genuineness of the claim. But overall, the insurance companies act as a medium on behalf of the government in providing benefits of crop insurance to the farmers. Because the government bears the major part of the crop insurance premium. The insurance companies that embodied the PM crop insurance scheme include Agriculture Insurance Company, Bajaj Allianz, Bharti Aksa General Insurance, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, IFFCO Tokyo General Insurance and National Insurance Company etc. How to apply for Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme online First of all, you have to go to the official portal of PM Crop Insurance Scheme https://pmfby.gov.in/.
