India shall produce 365 lakh bales of cotton
Cotton production in India is expected to fall by 1.7 percent as compared to the production volumes of last year. The volume of cotton production in the years 2018-19 will be around 365 lakh bales (1 cotton bale = 170
kg). According to the figures quoted by the United States Department of Agriculture, around 372 lakh bales of cotton were produced in the country in the years2017-18.
