IMD forecasts heavy rainfall in the state
The Indian Meteorological Department has released its latest bulletin. Alert has been announced in the wake of heavy rainfall forecast in Delhi for the next 4 days. Also, heavy rainfall is forecasted for some areas of Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, low pressure is set in areas near Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal and northern Odisha so heavy rainfall is forecasted for the next 48 hours. Kerala is expected to receive heavy rains over the next 48 hours. A Rail Alert has been announced in East Rajasthan on August 15. Moderate to heavy rains can occur here. Apart from this, heavy rains are likely in Uttarakhand and western Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, rainfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, western Rajasthan and Gujarat region.
