The government has set a target of giving agricultural loans of Rs 15 lakh crore this year. The government can give this amount to farmers through different schemes. In this regard, the most important scheme for farmers by the government is the Kisan Credit Card (KCC). Under this scheme, work has been done to benefit many farmers of the country. According to the government, the benefit of this scheme has been given to more than 1 crore farmers in the country so far. Giving information, Minister Kailash Chaudhary said that under the KCC scheme, Rs 89,810 crore has been transferred to the account of farmers. Kisan Credit Card is provided to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and farmers can avail it for getting loans at low interest rate. With this, the interest rate for loans up to three lakh rupees by farmers is 9 percent.But the government is given a subsidy of 2 percent on this and at the same time an additional 3 percent is waived on returning the amount on time, this makes the interest rate much lower. Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary said that "easy and concessional credit of Rs 2 lakh crore will be made available to 2.5 crore farmers". Farmers have now become much more comfortable in getting loans than previously expected. The process of getting a card for taking a loan on joining the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi has also been made easier by the Modi government. In this process, the farmers' revenue records, bank account and Aadhaar card have already been approved by the central government.
