The government has made a policy to encourage farm start-ups to increase farmers' income and provide employment opportunities to the youth. Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) - 'Innovation and Agro-Entrepreneurship Development' program has been adopted under pace. In its first phase, 112 startups will be given an amount of Rs 1186 lakh. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has given this information. Tomar told that these start-ups have been given 2 months training in 29 Agribusiness Incubation Centers. These start-ups will provide employment to the youth and will also help in increasing the income of farmers directly and indirectly. He said, RKVY-Speed ​​is an important scheme for promoting agriculture and allied activities and rural economy. Under the scheme, 'Innovation and Agri-entrepreneurship Development' program has been added to promote agricultural entrepreneurship. Under this, start-ups will be given financial assistance. Tomar said that in meetings held at the ministry level, he has asked to make agriculture competitive, provide necessary support for agro-based activities and adopt new technology as soon as possible. The government's emphasis is on increasing private investment in agriculture, hence the need for start-ups.Tomar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reviewed the progress of agricultural research, extension and education in the country earlier this month. The need to use information technology to provide information on the demand of farmers was highlighted. Tomar said that the Prime Minister has also instructed that a hackathon can be organized twice a year to solve the identified problems and to meet the design requirements for the components and equipment.
