A study has found that the infestation of pink boll worm has increased significantly since January onwards. As well as quality of cotton is also affected. Most farmers turn to winter crops by removing cotton crop by the end of December. Hence, discontinue of further irrigation from the first of December and end the cotton crop. Doing so also breaks the life cycle of pink bollworm and reduces the pest infestation in the coming year.
