Follow these Measures during Soybean Harvesting
Climate circumstances from soybean pod ripening to harvesting the crop are extremely important in terms of germination and the quality of the crops produced for the coming years. At this stage of the crop, the moisture content reduces at the ripening stage of the seed. During this period, constant rainfall is extremely damaging to the crop. Harvesting is necessary when the crop is at maturity and the moisture content of the seeds is generally between 14-16% to eliminate such damage during the monsoons.
While harvesting the crop, be cautious that if there are weeds in the field, it should not be extracted with the crop. Infected crops in the field should be uprooted and destroyed before harvesting. Also, spraying Diathane-M-45 fungicide @25-35 grams per pump when filling the pods. It increases germination by controlling seed fungal diseases. Crop harvesting should be performed with the help of a sickle. Care should be taken to ensure that the crops do not get uprooted while harvesting, or if the stones may be combined with the seed. The harvested crop should not be kept in the heap immediately as it impacts the seed and germination; it should be dried in the farm under sunlight in order to preserve its quality. If soybeans are sown in a large area, it is best to harvest with 'Combine Harvester' that will save time and expense. At this point, the harvesting blades should be 8 to 10 cm above ground level and the machine velocity should be at medium level. In this way, the harvesting of the soybean crop should be followed out with appropriate consideration._x000D_ Source: AgroStar Agronomy Centre of Excellence If you find this information useful, click on the yellow thumbs up sign under the photo and also share this with your farmer friends using the options given below.
