New Delhi: For the benefit of farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan Yojana), the Central Government has created a PM-Kisan Portal, on which farmers can register themselves with their detailed details. Also, farmers can check the payment received. Vivek Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture said that we are working on three phases. The first step is to allow farmers to register themselves on the portal. In the second phase, farmers will be provided with the facility to check their Aadhaar on the portal, so that farmers can also change the name etc. if required. In the third phase, farmers will be given the facility to check whether payment has been made. Agarwal said the government has so far sent more than one instalment to 6.55 lakh farmers. 24 thousand crore rupees have been spent on this initiative. Explain that the Central Government had announced the PM-Kisan scheme in the interim budget. Under this, farmers will be given financial assistance of 6 thousand rupees in a year. This amount will be found in three equal instalments of 2000 rupees. Source - Dainik Bhaskar, 21 September 2019
