Easy preparation of Dashparni extract for organic farming
" With today’s consumers becoming more aware of what they eat, the affinity for organic farming and the demand for organic products is increasing rapidly. Therefore, many farmers are taking up organic farming for which they need proper guidance and a good market. You can get a good quality produce using organic farming but the production becomes affordable only when you have a defined marketplace or ample demand. In the common marketplace, there is less demand for such products. So, even if there is a demand, the produce fetches low prices. Hence, it is our duty as farmers to sell assured quality produce to the customers for which we need to have the necessary information.
Below, you will get the desired information and the specific solution to be used in organic farming and for crop protection. We will learn about how to prepare the ‘Dashparni extract’ to be used in organic farming as an insecticide, fungicide and a killer of bacteria-virus.
1. Leaves of neem and green neem seeds - 5 kgs_x000D_
2. Dhatura leaves and fruits - 2 kgs_x000D_
3. Vitex negundo ( nirgudi) leaves - 2 kgs_x000D_
4. Tanner's Cassia ( tarwad) leaves - 2 kgs_x000D_
5. Lantana - 2 kgs_x000D_
6. Custard apple leaves - 2 kgs_x000D_
7. Papaya leaves - 2 kgs_x000D_
8. Drum stick leaves - 2 kgs_x000D_
9. Heart-leaved moonseed ( Gulvel) - 2 kgs_x000D_
10. Pink morning glory leaves- 2 kgs_x000D_
11. Pomegranate leaves- 2 kgs_x000D_
12. Green chillies (crushed) - 1 kg_x000D_
13. Jaggery - 1 kg_x000D_
14. Garlic cloves ( crushed) - 500 gms_x000D_
15. butter milk or curd - made from 1 lit milk_x000D_
16. Cow urine of native cows - 5 lit_x000D_

Mix all of the above ingredients in 200 litres of water and ferment them for a week. The solution should be rigourously stirred twice a day so that oxygen will be available to it and the number of bacteria also increases, in turn making the solution more effective. This can then be used for spraying. After filtering the solution using a cotton cloth, it should be sprayed @10-20 ml Dashparni extract/lit of water which will give a good control over pests, diseases and bacteria. _x000D_
