The infestation of this caterpillar occurs from last week of January to the first week of March. Caterpillars feed on developing seeds in ear-head. Under higher infestation, the excreta is seen on the ground just like sprinkle of the DAP fertilizer. For the control, spray quinalphos 25 EC @ 20 ml per 10 lit of water.
