The nematodes damaging to pigeon pea, wheat, sesame and maize crop is known as cyst nematodes; likewise, kidney shaped nematodes in banana; lesion nematodes in fruit crops and chickpea; burrowing nematode in banana; stunt nematodes in tobacco and bajra; lance nematode in sugarcane and spiral nematodes in some of the fruit crops. Till today, no any chemical nematicides available but recently some of the nematicides are entered into the market.
