Do not neglect the diseases of Theileriosis, Babesiosis.
Microscopic cattle louse ticks cause infections like Babesiosis,Theileriosis and spread diseases. The diseases in animals is transmitted due to the healthy animals' interaction and contact with infected animals, lack of cleanliness in the cattle shed and gross neglect of health and disease. An early treatment by veterinary experts to be initiated by diagnosing the symptoms is strongly recommended. Theileriosis - • The disease is caused by the parasite Theileria Annulata. These parasites grow in the lymph gland. Once infected, swelling and increase in the size of the lymph gland is noted. The symptom of fever ranging from 104 to 106 degrees Fahrenheit is generally seen in the infected animals. • The parasites of this disease grow on red blood cells. Over time the cells are destroyed and the amount of hemoglobin in the blood is reduced. • The different types of the disease can be categorized with respect to the severity of the disease, as acute, chronic and severe infections. • When infected with acute illness, there is a breakdown in the red blood cells. Infected animals die within 1-4 days. The animals do not respond to medication. • When infected with chronic illness the animals show up with symptoms of fever. Lymph glands are swollen. On proper treatment, 50 percent of the animals are cured. • When infected with severe illness the animal has high fever. If treated promptly, 90% of the animals show covalence.
Babesiosis: • The disease caused by the parasite Babesia Bigemina. • The parasite which causes the infection grows and reproduces in the red blood cells and subsequently destroys the cells. • The infected animal shows symptoms of severe fever ranging from 105 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit. • The color of the urine turns red and is known to be fatal for the animals. • The strength in the hind legs of the animal is weakened. Symptoms of Jaundice are seen. • Impregnated animals and cattle with young calves appear confused. The infection inflicts the brain causing fits and tremors in the animal.
