Caterpillars feed on the peel of water melon in favourable environment. Sometimes, it can also enter into the fruit by making hole and feed on the internal content. As a result, quality of fruits is deteriorated which hampers the market value. On initiation of this pest, Spray neem based pesticides @ 20 ml (1% EC) to 40 ml (0.15% EC) per 10 lit of water. Collect & destroy the bigger larvae before spraying insecticides.
