IMD has announce an alert for cyclone Vayu on June 12-13. Saurashtra is predicted, for the next 48 hours, to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms. Damage is anticipated in Gujarat's coastal areas such as Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Rajkot, Junagarh, Diu, Gir Somnath, Amreli, and Bhavnagar. The cyclone Vayu is expected to strike the Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva across the area of Veraval and Diu. Heavy winds will continue in these places. The Saurashtra farmers are cautioned to delay the sowing of their crops. Sowing should be performed with adequate rain after 3 to 4 days. Source: IMD
