Crop Insurance will not get compensation of Rs. 1,000
Under the Prime Minister's crop insurance scheme, farmers will earn compensation of at least Rs. 1,000 per month. This amount will be credited straight to the farmers' bank account by the insurance company.
Prime Minister Vima Yojna, as well as the weather-based Fruitcrop Insurance Scheme, used to give Rs. 10 or Rs. 20 checks to farmers. The government had now decided to pay a minimum of Rs. 1,000 as a minimum compensation. The government has decided that the sum will be credited to the insurance company's bank account and the compensation will be applicable from Kharif 2018 and the Mrig season 2018.
