Pod borer can damage more than one pod in its life cycle. Sometimes, larva can completely enter into the pod and eat up the developing seeds. Select randomly 20 plants and count the larvae present on them. If 15 or more than 15 larvae are observed, spray recommended insecticides, it will be economical. Do the count twice in a week and damage increases than to do the spraying.
