At present, this crop is in flowering/ pod formation stage and will be damaged by Helicoverpa (pod borer), pod fly, spotted caterpillar or by the larvae of plume moth. The method of damaging each caterpillar will e different but it will damage the flowers and developing pods of the plants and grains are not matured or remain undeveloped or remain in broken seeds in these kinds of infested pods. For the management of these caterpillars, spray emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 3 g or flubendiamide 20 WG @ 5 g or thiodicarb 75 WP @ 20 g per 10 lit of water and get protection against them.
