Budget Declaration: Rs 6,000 to be deposited directly into farmers' accounts
Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal today presented the nation's interim budget in Lok Sabha. Significant announcements were made in favour of the farmers in the budget. The Minister of Finance stated that all farmers in the country will receive Rs 6,000 directly. This will be done under 'Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.' Accordingly, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 will be provided to farmers with land of up to five acres (two hectares) each year. These funds will be deposited directly into the farmer's account.
Benefit to 12 crore farmer families -
Under this scheme, approximately 12 crore farmers' families will benefit. This scheme has been implemented since 1 December, 2018. This amount will be given in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. The first instalment of Rs 2,000 will be deposited in the farmers ' accounts, of which the list will be prepared. With this plan, the government has set aside Rs 75,000 crore. In the budget, the Minister of Finance also said that the government increased the support price of 22 crops. For all farmers affected by the natural disaster, the interest of 2% and the farmers who return the loan on time will receive 3% interest waivers. In this way, they will be granted 5 5 interest concession.
