Brinjal fruit borer
The eggplant crop of some farmers may have come to an end. It is very important to dispose of brinjal stubbles properly and do not dump on the field boundaries, as caterpillars survive in them and may attack the new crop as and when available. Farmers those continue with the picking of brinjal and if fruit borer incidence is much more; they are advice to spray chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 4 ml or emamectin benzoate 5 WG @ 4 g or thiodicarb 75 WP @ 10 g or pyriproxyfen 5% + fenpropathrin 15% EC @ 10 ml per 10 lit of water.
