Kisan Credit Card is one of the most important and popular schemes run by the central government to help small farmers. Let me tell you that, after linking the Kisan Credit Card with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, 70 lakh people of the country have made up their mind to take loans at a low interest rates for farming.All these farmers have also applied for KCC. According to the data of the Union Ministry of Agriculture, out of all these farmers, 45 lakh farmers have received principle approval to give Kisan Credit Card, besides 25 lakh farmers have been issued KCC. In the current situation only 7 crore farmers of the country have a Kisan Credit Card. While the government wants all farmers associated with PM Kisan Yojana to take loan from the government instead of taking it from moneylenders. This is the reason that the government is accelerating the process of making KCC. The government gives loans on KCC made through PM Kisan Yojana at a nominal interest of only 4 percent. Now banks will not be able to ignore farmers for issuing KCC cards. Because the bank has Aadhaar number of farmers, their account number and complete record of their land already exists, now farmers can avail KCC from just one application. How to apply for KCC The farmer has to visit the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme pmkisan.gov.in. From the official website Kisan Credit Card Form has to be downloaded. The form has to be filled with the details of land papers, crop information etc. The farmer has to declare that he has not made any other farmer credit card from any other bank or branch. The filled form will have to be submitted to the concerned bank, after which the bank will issue the Kisan Credit Card after completing its entire process.
