Benefits of Gypsum
• It provides complete requirements of calcium and sulfur to the crops in cultivated land._x005F_x000D_ • It helps in the normal growth and development of crop roots. _x005F_x000D_ • Gypsum can also be used in crop protection because it contains the appropriate amount of sulphur. _x005F_x000D_ • Application of gypsum to oilseed crops, which is primarily responsible for seed production and special fragrance from plants and oils. _x005F_x000D_ • Application of gypsum to soil that makes nutrients available in soil normally increases the availability of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and sulphur. _x005F_x000D_ • Gypsum is a major source of calcium that binds organic matter to soil clay particles, providing stability in soil particles and maintaining soil aeration._x005F_x000D_ • Gypsum prevents the formation of a hard layer in the soil and increases the capacity of water percolation in the soil. _x005F_x000D_ • Due to calcium deficiency, yellowing of leaves, stunted plant growth is observed i.e. gypsum helps in calcium availability. _x005F_x000D_ • Gypsum is good for improvising alkaline soil._x005F_x000D_ • Gypsum reduces the harmful effects of aluminum on acidic soils. _x005F_x000D_ • It is used to increase yield and increase crop yield quality._x005F_x000D_ _x005F_x000D_
