Green bean is widely used in making Undhiyu in winter season. The incidence of aphid is much more in this green bean. In addition to sucking the sap, it also secretes honey dew like substances and sooty mould is developed on it. The quality and production, both are affected adversely. Instead of using chemical insecticides, spray biopesticide like Metarhizium or Verticillium and ready to use botanical pesticides. Some of the farmers are also using ash and getting the control of this pest.
